Every tray we sell started as a decision on our end: this caliber, that size of bin. We'd rather the next one started with you. So there's a page for it, Requests, under "Requests" in the menu. Right now its list reads "Nothing on the list yet." That's where you come in.
How to ask
The form starts with two questions: what it's for, and what it should hold. "For" means a Headcount tray, a Rack tray, a Bay bin, or something else. "Hold" is in your own words. A Bay asks for a rough size too. A Rack asks for the make, model and capacity, because those don't come in standard sizes and we may ask you to measure one.
The rest is up to you: how many you'd buy, which case you have, and anything else we should know. Leave your email and tick "Email me when it's made", and you'll hear from us when it is.
You don't have to go looking for the page, either. The Headcount and Bay pages each have a link to it. Search the site for something we don't have, and the empty results offer to start a request with what you typed.
What happens to it
Once a week we read every ask. Each idea goes on the public list in our own words, with a count of how many people have asked for it. Nothing anyone types goes on the site as written. One ask per person, and the counts update weekly. If what you want is already on the list, press Me too: it counts the same as a new ask. The most-asked get made first.
Why a new tray can be quick
Our Headcount trays aren't drawn by hand. They're generated from the published dimensions for each caliber, so a new one starts as a few numbers rather than a blank page. It still gets printed and checked before it goes on sale. Bays already come in ten sizes, from 1×1 to 4×4, so a rough size helps us see whether one of them already fits.
What we won't make
We make storage: trays, bins and cases. Nothing that fits on or in a firearm. The form says so too, and that doesn't change.
Ask
The list is empty, so the first ask goes straight to the top. Ask for a tray.
