What we make, and why the pins are brass

Why the pins are brass: the brass hinge pins drawn out of a Pocket case (render)

Bench Brass makes cases and trays for people who keep a tidy bench: the reloader who keeps match rounds apart from practice rounds, the shooter who counts what goes out and what comes back, and anyone who already has a drawer full of Gridfinity bins.

The case

Every case has a clear acrylic window in the lid, so you can see what's inside without opening it. The hinge pins are 1.5 mm brass rod, not printed plastic. Printed pins are where printed cases wear out first. Brass doesn't.

There are three sizes: Pocket, Day and Range. They ship empty, so you fill them with the trays you actually need.

The trays

Headcount trays hold cartridges standing up in a tight hex pattern, heads 5 mm proud, so you can pick a round out with gloves on and count a tray at a glance. The first is 9×19: 39 rounds in a 2×2, 95 in a 2×4.

Bay bins are plain open trays for everything else: earplugs, a pen, a spare battery, the small things that otherwise end up at the bottom of a bag.

Every tray is Gridfinity compatible. It sits in our cases, and in any Gridfinity baseplate you already own.

What's next

More calibers for Headcount, and sets that ship with the case already filled. New trays will show up here when they're ready, along with notes from the bench on how they're made.
